timeout error occurred trying to start mysql daemon. starting mysql failed

Check the logs:

less /var/log/mysqld.log

Log file is empty. I don’t even know how to debug it and not sure what to do.

but my log says there is no free hard drive space and guess what ,  my /var partition were full
